Build a Cheap 5 Night Disney VacationIf you are heading to Walt Disney World but don’t want to break the bank to do it, here’s a way to build yourself a cheap 5-night Disney vacation, and what to do while you’re there. When you book your vacation package, make sure you book it at a discount through a good travel agent or website. Book your time for five nights at one of Disney’s All-Star Value resorts – they’re a fantastic deal for anyone looking to experience the magic of staying at a Disney-themed resort, but who can’t afford to stay at one of the deluxe hotels. Ask your hotel if they have a deal on entrance passes, and then ask for the Magic Your Way Pass that’s good for 5 days. Just make it a basic pass, you don’t need anything special if you’re trying to do a cheap 5 night Disney vacation. Often, when guests have paid for a premium pass, they haven’t used many of the special features that come along with it, simply due to the fact that: there’s far too much to do in Walt Disney World already! On your first day, head to one of Disney’s four theme parks, perhaps starting off with the Magic Kingdom. Stick around until mid-day, and then go back to your Value resort for a rest period and a quick lunch from the food court. Food there isn’t too expensive, and you’ll save yourself the trouble and cost of a sit-down meal. Head back to the Magic Kingdom for fireworks in the evening. On the second day, visit Epcot, and relax in the afternoon in one of the cafes. Resist the temptation to buy a lot of food while you’re in the theme parks, as it can be quite expensive, so it might be a good idea to bring some snacks in your pocket when heading into the park. That night, instead of paying for entertainment, take a boat ride down the river, and then catch a free Disney movie by the poolside at the resort. Your third day, spend time at MGM and take a break back at your resort for lunchtime. At the end of the evening, leave the kids with the activity program, and have a parents’ night out on the town! Head to Downtown Disney and walk around and just enjoy the sights! You don’t need to spend money to appreciate everything there – just have a good time together in each other’s company. On the fourth day and night, spend your time in the Animal Kingdom. You’ll probably all be quite tired by now, so you might want to call it a day early – make this your night to have a nice, sit-down family meal together. Since the Animal Kingdom is devoted to animal conservation, you might even be able to have some great conversations with your kids about the things they liked most over the past four days and what they thought was important to see. Ask them if they learned anything! Your fifth day should be a day to relax, take it easy, and finish up seeing anything you didn’t have a chance to before. Take in some of Disney’s sit-down shows, and make sure you are smart about souvenirs by shopping in some of the discount souvenir stores. Don’t spend more than you have to – after all, it has to fit in your suitcase! That night, pack everything up so you’re not tempted to spend more money and pack more things inside. Then the next morning, take a shuttle back to the airport, and – voila! You’ve just accomplished a cheap 5 night Disney vacation! |
